		I’ve been teaching and performing in Southern California since 1986 and have enjoyed entertaining at dozens of venues from Coronado to San Juan Capistrano.
I first began studying in 1976. I was tutored privately until 1988 when I began studying under Fred Benedetti at Grossmont College. While in school I landed my first job as an instructor. My performance and teaching careers grew side-by-side.In 1992 I relocated from San Diego to North County where I continued playing in the classical/jazz/Latin guitar duo, "Polyphony." After teaching for private music stores in the area, I opened the Encinitas School of Music in 1988. ESM became a non-profit organization in October of 1991.
